TAG Network Midlands presents Online Friday Supper Club: Cook-Along with Chef Nitisha Patel
Nitisha Patel is an award-winning chef, Director of Nitisha Patel Foods Ltd & food consultant from the West Midlands who has numerous achievements under her belt including cookbooks; My Modern Indian Kitchen, and The Delicious Book Of Dhal.
She has being recognised as the Black Country’s Master of Food, being awarded as the Midlands’ Rising Star in food, drink & hospitality 2017, as well as developing convenience meals for some of the UK’s largest supermarket brands.
Join us for a special cook-along as you will be making a delicious meal from the comfort of your own kitchen.
On the menu? A delicious and comforting Chickpea, Kale and Coconut Korma (v)
You will need the following ingredients:
5 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cardamon pods
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 large onions
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic puree/ grated
1/2 tsp ginger puree/ grated
1/4 tsp tsp chilli puree or dried chilli flakes
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
1 tsp sugar
1x 400ml coconut milk
1x 400g canned chick peas (drained)
100g/ 2 handfuls kale or spinach
1 tsp garam masala
To Serve: Plain boiled or steamed rice/ naan breads/ roti breads... or chips. For our non-vegetarian/vegan friends, please serve with your choice of fish or meat.
